I write to register concern regarding implementation of the new public comment procedure for board meetings, which does not appear to be clearly explained in this agenda and for which there hasn't been strong communication to the public. I would urge the Board President to exercise discretion towards allowing for public comment especially following presentations and reports and to make very clear in the agenda where comment is going to be provided. It is also not clear whether commenting during the public comment period on non-agenda items will prevent one from providing later comment. I'm concerned that the current plan to take comment on all New Business (9 items) as a block will hinder public participation. I would encourage the Board President to allow for public comment following the enrollment items and public comment following the special ed roadmap -- as opposed to waiting for completion of all the new business items. Thank you.
