Lighthouse needs to keep open, because, there are many kids that need it. We love Lighthouse, we need Lighthouse to keep running for it students future. Go Lighthouse.
Yo no estaría d acuerdo q bayan a cerrar la escuela es mucha ayuda para nuestro hijo y apoyo . Es una escuela muy alta en aprendizaje para los estudiantes en general .
La escuela es muy importante para nuestra comunidad y para nuestros hijos, ya que han demostrado una tenacidad de enseñanza e interés en sus alumnos en cómo poder ayudarlos conjuntamente con nosotros los padres para que nuestros hijos estén preparados para desempeñar cual fuera la profesión que los alumnos deseen ser en la vida. Además tiene un gran grupo de profesores, staff y equipo de trabajo excelente.
En mi opinión ayúdenos a que nuestra escuela permanezca abierta y siga demostrado su interés en enseñar, ayudar y colaborar en las necesidades de nuestros alumnos. MUCHAS GRACIAS POR TOMARSE SU TIEMPO EN ESCUCHARNOS
This is school is good and it shows our students how to be responsible students and it should keep it open and because it is a school that goes until 12th grade
This School's charter does not show a retention policy. Retention policy that ends social promotion is required of public schools. May not be required of charter schools. Why wouldn't this charter school commit to a retention policy that is not social promotion based?
My children went to Lodestar for three years and our family had a wonderful experience. The staff is dedicated, extremely knowledgeable, and at the forefront of innovative educational models. Schools like Lodestar are a necessity for communities, like East Oakland, that are in dire need of great schools that focus on teaching the "whole child" through inventive modalities with love and care for all students.

I want lodestar to be open because it gives me and my family the opportunity to get a good education; as a parent not originally from here, it helps improve my English while my kids learn the fundamentals of learning said language without feeling unfamiliar with it.
Hi my is Connie mama Williams I’m very in support five year renewal if you were read my comments that I do support I’m still yet learned to read my own self and I was under the pression that I hit the word with the O that I wouldn’t have to fill out all the emailing all of that stuff come to find out I was wrong I’m very in support of our charter school being Renewed for five more years thank you
One of so many reason why I want Lodestar to be open again is the location. Three years ago my kids were in Public school same district, There were more than 30+ kids in one classroom and If you close Lodestar , you are putting 3-5 students in that classroom again. How can they learn? How can the teachers have time for all his/her students? I believe that if we keep Lodestar open, you’re giving the kids the opportunity to learn more, giving the teachers opportunity to do theor job to the BEST of their knowledge, with the new Lodestar High School opening, we’re giving the community and Lodestar families an opportunity to keep their kids in School, keep them occupied with school, the after school program, the cultures clubs and many more programs that will keep our kids safe and in school. LODESTAR can do all that. We come together as a “OHANA” (family) NO ONE GETS LEFT BEHIND. KEEP LODESTAR OPEN.

I want lodestar to be open because it gives me and my family the opportunity to get a good education, something that most public schools went going when I was in one . Lodestar had done a lot of things for me ,one being letting all of me and my siblings come here . I wouldn't want lodestar to close because I love the charter school experience, and the teachers as well as what we discuss in our classes .
I want my daughter to continue receiving her education at Lodestar Public Charter School because I like the type of learning that she receives.
I love the courses available and the environment overall. I have seen her grow as a person throughout the two years that she has attended this school. Please recertify Lodestar Charter School. I think we as parents and our kids as students have the right to choose the type of school they attend. Please honor our request for more years.
Lighthouse have serve my grand kids with IEP‘s to have graduated three are remaining I’m axing that you grant our school just still be open for another five years we are thriving in as a parent/grandparent I want to thank you for allowing my voice to be heard I will continually fight for quality equal and better education and I feel like it’s been met and I I am Been heard so I’m asking you at the school board to please honor our request for another five years.
