All school budgets must keep as priority SAFETY of students and workers when they return to school. Teachers must have no touch thermometers available to check students into class. Schools must buy washing machines and workers required to wear outer wear and leave at day's end the protective outer clothing to be washed for next day's wear. And face covering available for students and workers. All these additional needs to keep all safe will be a budget demand that should be priority during pandemic crisis.

I hope you are realizing that in the next school year, our schools will need more space in classrooms to accommodate physical distancing for COVID-19. This is not the time to close, merge, or co-locate schools. Each of these actions will make schools more crowded and jeopardize health and safety of students, staff, and community. Pause any such actions at least one year (including closing Kaiser and co-locating Brookfield), or until a vaccine is available to all.
