SFUSD families have excused all absences for children who are kept home for health reasons, in light of Covid-19. I recognize the benefits of staying open for food/childcare reasons, but I also see reason in reducing the size of gatherings whenever possible. Can OUSD make a similar provision to excuse school absences for a limited time to allow for voluntary isolation/social distancing?
