    My concern about the recent Board Policy on property leasing combined with the identification of two properties as surplus is that the Board has a history of making deals that are not in the fiscal interest of the students of OUSD, both within the purview of what would be surplus options and what would be nonsurplus options. Remarks made by Board President London that indicated unfamiliarity with the current $2500/month library lease for the portable at Piedmont Elementary are to me an indication of this problem. Can you include a recommendation that the Board should be required to make deals that benefit the district and its students?
