P.-28 19-0586 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Voice of Witness, San Francisco, CA, for the latter to provide 50 hours of professional development on brining human rights narratives and issues into the curriculum of courses designed for high school Long Term English Learners (LTELs) and students at risk of becoming LTEL; ongoing consultation to team of District teachers building new curriculum based upon Voice of Witness framework around oral histories; contribute directly to curriculum development where appropriate; and other supports related to teacher Professional Development (PD), curricular development consultation and writing, via the English Language Learner and the Multilingual Achievement Department, for the period of May 1, 2019 through June 30, 2019, in an amount not to exceed $10,000.00.
