Closing schools hurts kids, does not save money and does not result in fewer schools, just fewer public schools. The process has been and will continue to be harmful to the already underserved students in the district - black and brown students, students with disabilities, low income students. This process violates your own timelines and blueprint policy and demonstrate a complete disregard for meaningful input from parents and students. Invest in our schools, don't abandon them.

I oppose the immediate closure of roots international academy this action will affect kids in a very negative way because they already have a hard time getting to school and if you shut it down there’s no guarantee they will get into a “better” school I am a parent at roots and I have Not been contacted to let me know what is going on or the options I have.
