In the age of the 21th century, climate change is the most menacing challenge facing humanity and determines if we survive teh century. It would require gargantuan efforts and it fisrt begins with educating the young people.
I think that educating the youth about climate change should be an essential part of OUSD curriculum. This is a critical problem that directly impacts everyone. Students need to fully understand the issue in order to go out and make a change.
As a student at Oakland Technical High School I am very supportive of this policy. I think it is extremely important to be educated about climate change and the current dangers that are a threat to our environment. By educating more youth it contributes to positive change in the future.
Teaching the future generation how to respect the environment is essential in making future education more efficient and cost-effective. Our school system has many flaws that can be fixed by reorganization of funds and prioritizing sustainability. Sustainability is not only an environmental concern but a way of life that extends to all subject and schools of thought. It is the absolute most important issue of today's society and will only worsen without implementation of environmental literacy.
As a student in the OUSD, I believe that it is incredibly important that we teach the future generations about the environment and how we can help preserve it. There are people that don't understand the events that are passing now because of how we have impacted the environment around us, and to continue as a society with a world to live on, we must learn how to preserve it and mitigate climate change.
As a student at Oakland Tech, I support this because I believe that it is crucial for students to understand climate change as they are the generation that can make a difference.
I am a student at Oakland Tech, and I strongly support this bill. Climate change is a very important issue that impacts the day to day lives of everybody on Earth!!! Students must be educated about climate change in order to be informed and functional members of society as we move into a new era of climate change mitigation!!
I believe that climate change is one the largest issues facing humans in this era. Climate change literacy is important to the next generation of students who have been left with the problem of climate change to solve.
I am a student at Oakland Technical High School, and I support this policy to the fullest extent because, unlike other policies, this one applies to each and every one of us here on planet earth. It is critical to positively contribute to the environment in every way we can, and the approval of this policy is one giant step towards a healthier ecosystem.
as a product of oakland tech I believe that solutions to climate change must be pushed forward in our curriculum instead of being pushed back behind other issues, change needs to start now.
As a student at Oakland Tech, I support this policy because I feel that climate change is a very serious matter that students need to know about. It would get students to learn about what is really going on with the planet and how we should address the issue.
It is crucial that students are taught about climate change in the classroom as it will continue to be one of the most pressing issues of our lifetimes. Implementing curriculum will help empower and mobilize Oakland students.
As a student at Oakland Tech, I fully support this policy because I believe climate change needs to be addressed in our classrooms. Educating Oakland Unified students would guarantee a new generation of activists prepared to help and educate their community with the problems climate change poses to Oakland, such as sea level rise.
