18-0570 Presentation by staff to Budget and Finance Committee on Cost of Quality Schools and Sustainable School Size.
Why are we examining the size and number of schools we have?
What size and number of schools would be more sustainable for OUSD to maintain?
What does it cost to provide quality, full service community schools?
How does OUSD's spend on central services impact definitions of sustainability and community schools?
(From Temescal neighborhood; unable to enter Neighborhood). I am concerned to see the number "87" given as the number of schools Oakland operates as there is at least one school (Oakland Tech) that operates across two campuses and several buildings that house multiple schools. Other districts would call these "programs." Looking at district documents and counting, I believe OUSD actually operates 73 schools, not 87.This is how other districts count their schools.

I am running out of room!
