K.-18 17-2686 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Ariel Benavides, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide direct on-site services for the Volunteer Resolution Plan cohort Middle School peer Restorative Justice (RJ) Program by collaborating with site staff to identify and recruit 5-20 peer RJ youth leaders (11-14 years old) that reflect the racial, ethnic, and academic diversity of the school; organize, create, and design training materials that teach conflict resolution, effective communication, problem solving, and restorative practices, and expect to share them with other Peer RJ coordinators; conduct an average of 20-35 restorative circles to respond to harm or conflict and support the school site in creating a safe, healthy and supportive environment at Elmhurst Community Preparatory School, for the period of August 21, 2017 through June 15, 2018, in an amount not to exceed $41,000.00.
