I am a parent of 2 students at Melrose Leadership Academy. I strongly oppose the $14M cut to general funds without any specifics and without a process to allow parents, teachers, and key stakeholders to have a say in where those cuts will be made. Our schools are already running on tight budgets and our staff are already pushed to do more with less. We do not want more cuts coming at the school level. Central administration has gotten us into this mess and we should chop from the top!
