16-0912 Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and National Equity Project (NEP), Oakland, CA, for the latter to work with school using NEP and its Guiding Principles for Promoting Racial Equality in Family Engagement to apply a Racial Equity Lens to the Peace March, which will be taking place at school on May 5, 2016; facilitate a school-wide engagement event with parents, to help build a positive school climate, reducing issues that have been arising at the campus with racial slurs and other racially motivated insults that teachers, staff and parents have been reporting, at Manzanita SEED Elementary School, for the term April 20, 2016 through June 30, 2016, in an amount not to exceed $4,000.00.
