16-0909 Ratification by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and Rebecca Nassiri Consulting, San Francisco , CA, for the latter to work with the principal, teachers and students to support the ongoing implementation of the Reader's and Writer's workshop model to support the school's vision of supporting all scholars on their path to college including working with the Principal to determine the resources, systems and structures necessary for ongoing implementation as the school enters phase 2 of the work; work with the Principal and teachers on developing data cycles that will allow for the school to further the District's academic priority of small group instruction; work with teachers in Professional Learning Communities and individually to support their understanding of the common core standards, the curriculum and the strategies to support struggling readers to accelerate; and assess students and work with them in small group intervention to target needs and support accelerating student achievement at Garfield Elementary School, for the term August 17, 2015 through June 17, 2016, in an amount not to exceed $43,888.89.
