1. The extended due date to claim the Measure N exemption for both low-income and for seniors 2015/16 appears to be open-ended and restricted to seniors. It should be extended for low-income homeowners and set for everyone at at January 30, 2016 not November 2015.
2. The Measure G exemption claim due date should be re-opened for all years 2008 thru 2015/16 for low-income.
3. The plan for adequately publicizing the exemptions and the due dates needs to be open for public comment.
[I don't find this ecomment portal very clear. If I am posting in the wrong place, please forward this comment to the correct place.] I am asking the board to please mail all property owners in the district and inform them of exemptions process under measures G and N. OUSD is accepting money from those who cannot afford it; a cynical move which may backfire the next time you ask voters for support. Thank you.
