I would like to add a agenda item on how that tax is being collected. I am a senior citizen and was never told how to get an exemption. Even though I have not paid my property taxes, there is no way that I can get the senior citizen exemption this year. Apparently, OUSD believes that there is a fountain of youth and people get younger. There needs to be a fair way of telling people about the senior exemption and I way that seniors only have to fill out the form once.
