15-1169 Ratification by the Board of Education of Amendment No. 1, Professional Services Contract between the District and Whole Life Nutrition, Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide additional services in following areas pertaining to the California Food and Agriculture Department Grant received by District: 1) design a marketing campaign to increase meal program participation and build awareness of locally grown crops, thereby expanding the market for California specialty crops within the district and throughout the City of Oakland; 2) design and implement a marketing program (including materials) to promote California specialty crops for the purpose of cultivating consumers who recognize and regularly purchase California specialty crops and understand the benefits of eating a diet rich in produce; 3) design and implement a "California Bar" marketing program for school-site salad bars and quarterly Harvest of the Month promotions, for Nutrition Services, in an additional amount not to exceed $4,000.00, increasing the Contract not to exceed amount from $6,435.00 to $10,435.00. All other terms and conditions of the Contract remain in full force and effect.
