A basic guarantee in public education system has been violated. Neither the Special Education budget nor the plan that includes it were subjected to the mandated public review. This is urgent within a generalized consolidation of special education staff roles/programs amounting to large reductions.
Civil rights organizations seem the most appropriate venues for those of us seeking an effective education for students with IEP's. Austerity is presented as reform. The struggle continues.
