14-2411 Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and HERO, Inc., Oakland, CA for the latter to provide a variety of counseling, mentoring, and leadership services to target student population, Latino and African American students in the form of social skills classes three days a week, boys mentoring program twice a week, and a young HERO Leadership program for upper grade students, a positive behavior class for SDC students and weekly interactive cooperative activities to improve student engagement and maintain a positive school culture, professional development for staff as needed and appropriate, at Global Family Elementary School, for the period December 1, 2014 through June 11, 2015, in an amount not to exceed $19,600.00.
