14-2228 Approval by the Board of Education of a Professional Services Contract between the District and HERO, Inc., Oakland, CA, for the latter to provide a variety of counseling/mentoring services to target population- Title 1, African American and Latino in form of: social skills classes five days a week, mentoring program once a week, YOUNG HERO Leadership Program for upper grade students twice a week, social skills class for SOC students once a week, professional development for staff as needed and appropriate; and support at recess in the form of organized games and physical activities, at Sankofa Academy, for the period October 27, 2014 through June 11, 2015, in an amount not to exceed $18,000.00.
