L.-84 25-1106 Approval by the Board of Education of a Services Agreement 2024-2025 by and between the District and East Bay Asian Youth Center, Oakland, CA, for the latter to: 1. Organize, train, and support the Parent Leadership Council, a multiracial, multiethnic, and multilingual team of 15 Garfield Elementary School parents to organize and support: a) participatory action research campaigns b) Principal's Coffees c) Instructional Walk-Throughs d) schoolwide special events 2. Manage the Garfield Family Resource Center facility and daily operations, including: a) distribution of food, clothing, diapers, supplies b) provide access to computer workstations c) provide meeting space and materials d) provide case management assistance e) support Lotus Bloom Family Play Groups 3. Plan and implement tiered intervention strategies to increase satisfactory attendance and reduce chronic absenteeism among Kindergartners and 1 st graders, including: a) Parent Cafes b) classroom attendance recognitions c) Check-In/Check-Out d) Home Visits e) Case Management at Garfield Elementary School, for the period of August 1, 2024 through May 30, 2025, in an amount not to exceed $150,000.00.
