I want to ask why isn't equity one of the categories of looking at what will make the list of projects. Who made the score card and did it get community input from stake holders. Equity doesn't mean every district has a project, every district having a project is equality. I want to speak on why the needs of the most vulnerable students should be our first consideration. The Alternative Education Hub vision aligns with our vision. In your own poll 76% of voters found arguments about CTE (Career Technical Education) convincing and 80% found arguments about improving academics success convincing. I hope that district leaders will lean into their commitment to equity and not let it just be a sound bite or a cliche. Will we interrupt the "School to Prison" pipeline or will we simply ignore it and say to oneself, that is not my problem.
